Study Extension Trip to A Comedy about a Bank Robbery

6th December 2018

Dear Parents,

When we return next term the first Study extension activity will be almost upon us. Study I and II are going to see A Comedy about a Bank Robbery on Tuesday 15th January 2019 at the Oxford Playhouse, starting at 7.30pm with a running time of 2 hours 20 minutes including an interval. It is a play by Henry Lewis and the performance by Mischief Theatre follows their West End show of The Play that Goes Wrong that past Study groups have really enjoyed. The website explains:

‘A priceless diamond has been entrusted to the city bank, an institution so corrupt that even the security guards are on the take. Can it be safely stored or will it all go horribly wrong?’

We will walk to and from the theatre so please can girls have appropriate wet weather gear should it be needed! We will return to school by 10.20pm but should girls need to stay over at school for £20, then that facility is available if you could please let us know as per the reply form.

Girls have the choice of meeting us at the theatre at 7.15pm or of walking to town with us at 6.45pm. They can be picked up from the theatre at 9.50pm or we will return to school by 10.20pm. Please indicate your choice on the reply form. Unfortunately late emails or girls changing their minds on the day does affect the risk assessments drawn up well in advance of the trip. Many thanks for your support with all of the study extension.

Yours sincerely,

Bridget Sherlock
