Shell social with The Oratory

3rd October 2019

Dear Shell Parents

As you will have seen from the green calendar, we had originally planned to have the Shell social with The Oratory school on Friday 11th October. However, the Oratory have changed their prep times and have asked that we move to Saturday 12th October or cancel. As I know how important these event are to the girls, we have moved the date and this social is definitely now on Saturday 12th October.

Please will day girl parents arrange to drop their girls at the Hollywood Bowl at the Kassam Stadium between 6.50pm and 7.00pm. We have booked lanes from 7.10pm and have booked two sessions. There are 8 people per lane and the Hollywood Bowl advises that it takes about 10 minutes per person to complete. Thus, we should be finished by 10.00pm so please can you collect your daughters then. Girls must sign in and out with a member of staff. Please could all day girls bring some pocket money for snacks and drinks and please could they all have had supper before coming. I would be grateful if they would dress for bowling rather than for a party. Please can day girls tell their form teachers that you will be taking them to and from the Kassam Stadium by Friday 4th October.

I will drive the boarders and any weekly boarders who opt to stay in school that weekend in the Shell to and from the Hollywood Bowl in the minibus leaving at 6.30pm on Saturday and returning about 10.15pm. Please could weekly boarders tell their housemistresses this week by Friday 4th October whether they are staying in school on Friday and Saturday 11th/12th. I have room for some day girls in the minibus and spaces will be allocated on a First Come, First Served basis. Please can parents wanting me to take day girls by minibus email me so we can check attendance and book on Monday.

In order to book accurate numbers of lanes please may we have replies as soon as possible but certainly by Monday 7th October at 4.00pm.

Yours sincerely, looking forward to a great Saturday out!
