Part 2 HPV Vaccinations
16th January 2020
A team of School Health Nurses will be attending Wychwood on Friday 7th February to administer the second dose of the HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) vaccination to all girls in the Lower Transits.
The first dose was given when your daughter was in Year 8 and your Consent was obtained for both doses to be administered. You do not need to provide further consent or complete the electronic consent form for this vaccine. It is important that both doses are given to provide optimum protection against the commonest causes of cervical cancer.
If your daughter has not received her first dose please call your School Health Nurse Office. We will then administer the first dose on the date above and arrange the second dose to be given 6-12 months later. If your daughter is unable to receive her immunisation on the date above due to absence, we will arrange to catch her up in school at a later date.
If your daughter has developed any allergies, medical conditions or commenced any medication since the Consent Form was signed last year or you wish to discuss this important immunisation with a school health nurse, please phone the School Health Nurse Office on the number below.
Further information regarding the vaccine is available at www.nhs.uk/hpv
