Lower Transits Parents’ Evening: 12th February 2019
11th October 2018
Dear Lower Transit Parents and Guardians,
The new academic year is now well underway and it is a very important one for pupils in the Lower Transits. This is the year girls will decide which subjects they will carry on studying at KS4 and which subjects they will not continue with. This process begins towards the end of the Michaelmas term when all pupils will receive an individual interview to discuss their initial ideas. These will then go to subject staff for their input. Parents will receive the GCSE Curriculum booklet at the end of this term so that they may discuss the options with their daughters over the holidays. Discussion between parents and staff will follow during the Lower Transits Parents’ Evening on 12th February 2019 at 5.30pm in the hall. Further discussion will continue between school staff, pupils and home for the remainder of the Hilary term when final choices will be set. We will require parents to confirm choices in writing please.
We would like therefore to invite you to a Parents’ Evening on 12th February 2019 at 5.30pm. All the academic staff who teach your daughter will be available to discuss her progress and her ideas about KS4 subject choices.
We very much look forward to welcoming you on the evening and working with you in helping your daughter make the best choices for her courses next year, but as always please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions or concerns,
Director of Studies
