HABSMUN 2019

You can’t keep Wychwood girls down! Two weeks after attending Magdalen College School Model United Nations, 4 girls (Jasmine, Azahara, Alishba and Rebecca) were representing Portugal at Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School MUN last weekend (15-17 March). Thirty schools attended representing 60 countries. Most schools were from across London and the south east of England but four were from abroad – Germany, Greece, Holland and Dubai! It was great for the girls to meet up with such a wide cross section of young people. All girls spoke in their committees and Rebecca and Jasmine spoke together in front of the whole general assembly (over 250 people) on the rights of lesbian, gays and transsexuals across the world. The girls enjoyed the cinema and a pizza on Saturday evening and all in all a great time was had by all.
