Nine Wychwood girls had another successful trip into the world of the United Nations over the weekend of 16th – 18th March as girls from the Inters, Lower Transit and Upper Transits braved the mini Beast from the East to attend the Haberdashers’ Askes’ Boys School Model United Nations – affectionately known as HABSMUN. Over 30 schools attended including a school from Germany. Once again the girls lobbied, discussed, gave points of information and moved resolutions on topics ranging from the mental health of teenagers in conflict zones to disarmament in the South China Sea. Our girls represented Afghanistan and Maldives so they had to also learn about two very different countries.
It wasn’t all hard work. On Saturday evening the girls saw The Greatest Showman and enjoyed pizza or salad before going back to the hotel in the snow. All in all a great time was had!
