I am proposing to take all of the Upper Transits and Shell Geographers (as they will be in September), on a four day field course to Wales for a long weekend, leaving school on Thursday 3rd October to return on Monday 7th October. We will be staying at a field study centre, Naturesbase near Lampeter, in Wales (www.naturesbase.co.uk).
GCSE Geography requires the pupils to acquire fieldwork skills in both human and physical geography, and these are best taught in context. They will then be examined in Paper Three.
The cost of the four days is likely to be in the region of £340, and this includes everything.
As this is a curriculum trip supporting the GCSE we expect all geographers to attend. Please could you confirm attendance by filling in the form opposite by the end of term.
