Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Parent and Participant Launch
26th September 2019
We are very pleased to be writing to all parents of Lower Transits to Study to launch this year’s Duke of Edinburgh Award, a fabulous programme of personal achievement and development. Interest in the Award has grown at Wychwood over the last few years and we would like more pupils to enrol this year and benefit from the excellent opportunities the Award has to offer.
There is a lot of information about the Award that we would like to share with parents and pupils before they decide to enrol: what it is; why you should do it; what it involves; how to enrol; what it costs and the details about the expedition section. We have therefore organised a Parent and Participant Launch Evening on Monday 30th September at 6.30pm. This will also give you the chance to meet me as the Duke of Edinburgh Coordinator, in place until Katherine Britton returns.
This is your opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the expeditions. Therefore, we would strongly recommend and encourage all parents and participants who are interested in the Award to attend. If you are going to attend, please could you email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you would like further information about the Award before the meeting, please see the national DofE website at www.dofe.org. We look forward to seeing you on the 30th of September.
