Following on from the very successful activity weekends we have run in previous years, next term as your daughter joins the Lower Transits (Year 9), we are taking the Year group on a different kind of adventure in the form of a cultural, educational and fun residential trip during which we will explore the wonderful city of Bristol, and through which your daughter can get to know the girls in the class.
Bristol has so much to offer. We plan to leave school on the Friday morning, stay in the Youth Hostel overnight and then return late the following afternoon. During our visit we will complete a cultural walking tour of the city viewing the works of Bansky and other street artists. This will be followed by a street art workshop from the award winning company Where the Wall. On the Friday evening we will watch the award winning Lion King musical at the Hippodrome. We will also explore the Clifton suspension bridge and the surrounding area, complete some teambuilding activities and visit the We the Curious science museum and Planetarium for an awesome exploration through the night skies. The cost of the weekend will be under £250, which will include the accommodation, food, transport and all the activities. The cost will be added to your bill with a deposit of £100 to be paid this term and the remainder at the end of the Michaelmas term. The Lower Transits have really enjoyed the trip in previous years and got a lot out of it and we really hope everyone will be able to come, as it will be a fantastic way to start the academic year together.
In order to secure your daughter’s place on the trip, please complete the form opposite giving your permission to add the cost to your next fees invoice by 28th June.
We will give you the full itinerary at the start of next term. It promises to be an enlightening and fun experience.
