The Josh McEachran Football Academy gives aspiring young players the opportunity to combine a high-quality education with a full-time football development programme, designed to support players both on and off the pitch.
The Academy
Led by former Chelsea, England youth international and professional midfielder Josh McEachran, the academy provides students with access to first-hand professional experience, elite standards, and valuable insight into what it takes to progress within the game.
Josh’s career has seen him play at the highest level, including the Premier League, Champions League and Championship. His experience, knowledge and professional network help create a unique environment where players can develop their ability, understanding, confidence and character.
Showcase Fixtures & Academy Games
A key part of the football programme is the opportunity to compete in academy fixtures and selected showcase games against professional academy opposition.
These fixtures give players the chance to test themselves in competitive environments, gain experience against high-level opposition, and showcase their ability in front of coaches, scouts and football professionals.
The programme aims to provide players with meaningful development opportunities while supporting their long-term progression both within and beyond football.
A Complete Football & Education Pathway
In partnership with Wychwood School, the academy provides a balanced programme where students can continue their academic journey while developing as footballers in a professional and supportive environment.
This combination of education, football development, mentorship and exposure creates a strong pathway for ambitious players who want to maximise their potential.
Professional Mentorship & Player Pathways
Students benefit from regular football training, player development support and mentorship shaped by Josh’s experience within elite football environments.
The academy is designed to help players improve technically, tactically, physically and mentally, while also preparing them for the wider opportunities available within football, sport, higher education and future careers.
Through Josh’s professional background and network, students are exposed to valuable guidance, industry insight and opportunities that help them understand the standards required to progress.
Course Information
Our Football Education Academy offers two tailored pathways, ensuring every pupil can thrive:

BTEC Sport Pathway – Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport
- Delivered in partnership with highly qualified staff with extensive industry experience.
- Industry-recognised qualifications: NCFE Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity.
- Additional certifications include First Aid, Safeguarding, FA Level 1 & 2 Coaching Certificates, and more.
- UCAS points equivalent to three A Levels, providing progression routes to university, coaching, or employment in the sports industry.
- Weekly timetable combining academic lessons with intensive football training and matchdays.

Wychwood Football A-Level Pathway
- Pupils may choose to pursue A Levels at Wychwood School from a wide selection of subjects including English, Maths, PE, Business, Psychology, and many more.
- Alongside academic studies, pupils will receive elite football coaching and participate in academy competitions.
- Boarding opportunities available in Wychwood’s brand-new boarding facility, creating an inclusive and supportive environment for pupils from the UK and abroad.
- This flexible pathway allows pupils to tailor their education while enjoying practical football experience, developing skills on and off the field.
